About this recipe

this hearty pork & veggie stew is a one-pot wonder!

Prepare the following

Ingredients

1 1/2 kg Pork kasim, cut into chunks
2 tbsp All purpose flour
1 1/2 tbsp Salt
2 tsp Black pepper, freshly ground
3 tbsp Olive oil
4 clove Garlic, minced
6-8 pcs Fresh sage leaves or ½ teaspoon dried sage
3 cans Alaska Classic Evaporated Filled Milk 360mL Buy now
1 cup Water
1 1/2 tsps Lemon peel, grated
1 1/2 cups Yellow kamote, cut into chunks
1 pc Red bell pepper, cubed
1 pc Green bell pepper, cubed

Procedure

in a small bowl, mix flour, salt, and black pepper. sprinkle mixture evenly over pork pieces.
pour olive oil in a casserole set over medium-high heat and sear pork pieces to brown well on all sides about 10 to 15 minutes.
add in minced garlic and sage and stir-fry for a few minutes until fragrant.
pour in alaska classic evaporated filled milk, water and grated lemon peel.
cover and bring mixture to a boil then lower heat to a simmer and cook until meat is fork tender about 1 ½ to 2 hours.
season to taste with salt and pepper.
add in kamote chunks and cook until tender then add in bell peppers and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. serve hot.
