About this recipe

chocolate + cornflakes = a ridiculously easy sugar fix!

Prepare the following

Spatula
Baking Tray
Mixing Bowl
Wooden Spoon
Brush

Ingredients

2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
1/2 c Water
6 tbsp Salted butter
1/2 c Alaska Créma All-Purpose Cream Buy now
1/4 c Alaska Classic Sweetened Condensed Filled Milk Buy now
1 cup Corn flakes

Procedure

line a baking tray with foil and brush with oil. set aside
Make the caramel by adding sugar and water to a heavy bottomed saucepan.
warm pot over medium heat and cook until the sugar dissolves and starts to bubble. sugar will form clumps, but continue swirling and cooking until the mixture thickens and turns to a deep amber color.
carefully add the butter and whisk until completely melted.
remove the saucepan from heat and slowly pour the alaska créma all-purpose cream and alaska classic sweetened condensed filled milk. whisky continuously until incorporated.
set aside and let it cool.
once cooled, stir in cornflakes until lightly coated with the mixture. using two spoons, scoop mixture out into 2 tablespoon sized balls into oiled baking tray.
dampen fingers with cold water and lightly press cornflake clusters together then let set at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving.
