About this recipe

Ingredients

2 tbsp Vegetable oil
8 pcs Chicken thighs
1/2 tsp Kosher salt
1/2 tsp Black pepper
1 pc White onion, sliced thinly
8 pcs Lemongrass, outer layers removed, smashed and sliced into 2 long pieces
1/5 cup Ginger, julienned
1/2 tsp Turmeric
2 cans Alaska Classic Evap Milk 154ml
to taste Salt and pepper

Procedure

season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight) before cooking.
in a large nonstick pan over medium heat, sear the chicken cuts until nicely browned. set aside.
in the same pan, add the chopped onions and sliced lemongrass and ginger.
cook for 5-7 minutes until they have softened, stirring occasionally.
stir in the turmeric and alaska classic evap milk and add chicken back into the pan.
cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until chicken's juices run clear.
season with salt and pepper.
