About this recipe

a perfect tomato soup is all about flavor and this recipe will give you that!

Prepare the following

Ingredients

6 pcs Native tomatoes
Water for boiling
2 tsp Cooking oil
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1 pc onion, medium sized, sliced for sautéing
1 cup Water
1 tsp Vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp Sugar
1 pack Alaska Créma All-Purpose Cream 135ml Buy now
Basil leaves, sliced in thin strips (chiffonade)

Topping

1 tbsp Parmesan cheese, shredded

Procedure

Tick the circle to once you're done with the procedure.

using a knife, cut an x under each tomato. boil water in a sauce pan and add in all the tomatoes. cook until tomatoes are tender (but not mashed) and the x underneath it starts to peel. drop tomatoes in ice water to cool and stop the cooking process. peel the tomatoes, deseed and slice in pieces. set aside.
in a pre-heated soup pot, sauté garlic and onion in oil. add in the tomatoes and cook until tender and juices are released. add water, vinegar, salt and pepper and sugar. mix well then allow to simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the tomatoes have started to get soft.
lower the heat, then add in the alaska créma all-purpose cream. mix well and cook for 5 minutes more. turn off the heat. ladle soup into a bowl. top with basil and parmesan cheese then serve. best enjoyed with a slice of toasted bread or a grilled cheese sandwich.
