leche flan is always a must and a crowd pleaser in any filipino celebration or fiesta but most especially during christmas. our take on this classic dessert is tangy, sweet, smooth and creamy everyone will enjoy!

Strainer
Chiller
Sauce Pan
Llanera
Mixing Bowl
Aluminum Foil
Steamer

Ingredients

3/4 cup White sugar
1/4 cup Water
8 pcs Egg yolks, large
2 pcs Whole eggs, large
1 can Alaska Classic Sweetened Condensed Filled Milk 377g (290ml) Buy now
1 can Alaska Evaporated Filled Milk 360mL
1 pc Dayap, juiced
1 tsp Dayap zest
1 tsp Vanilla extract

Procedure

in a sauce pan, combine sugar and water then heat until syrup turns into a nice golden amber. divide among 3 small llaneras and set aside.
In a bowl, mix all remaining ingredients. Strain the mixture to lessen air bubbles for a smoother leche flan.
Divide mixture among the llaneras then cover with foil.
steam on low heat for 20-25 minutes or until almost firm.
chill overnight or at least 4 hours to set.
